Do you have a favorite quote?
Mine is by Martin Luther King Jr. It goes like this...“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”
Compliments embarass me because I feel like people never say enough -Mark Twain
And my personal favorite " Appreciate me now and avoid the rush ! "
I read it on a shirt . It goes like this
' Never argue with FOOLS, First they will bring you to their level and then they beat you with their experience.
One of my favorites, not directed toward you mind you, "Stupidity is not a crime, you a free to go."
I have many but here is one:
Progress is not created by contented people.
- Frank Tyger
An old friend of mine would say "you are not fat unless your stomach sticks out further then your breasts" keep in mind my friend is a man. So as a woman I guess we can get by with it easier depending on what bra we use. Hey that could be a hub...
"When the ax came to the forest, the trees said, the handle is one of us."
Also, "Fear is the Mindkiller."
Two of my hundreds of favorites: "He (or she) who laughs . . . lasts!" and Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
"We have nothing to fear . . . but fear itself" by Franklin D. Roosevelt.
"Those who think they can't - are usually right". Ralph Waldo Emerson
Thanks for the great question.
I have many... but these come to mind at the moment.
"The best way to know God is to love many things." Vincent Van Gogh
"It's kind of fun to do the impossible." Walt Disney
"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." Mother Theresa
"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up." Pablo Picasso
