"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing" by Helen Keller.
Not sure I have a favorite quote but that is one of my favorites. I got it printed on my namecard but am still trying very hard to live up to it.
One of my favorites is from the great worldly wisdom of a fictional character - YODA from Star Wars.
Something like: You do, or you do not. There is not try.
This is really true and I think about it a lot.
It is keep changing as I read more.
Now it is "If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got." ~ Karl Albrecht
BEAUTY LIES IN THE EYES OF BEERHOLDER
LIVE AND LET LIVE. I firmly believe in this phrase and adhere to it.
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
This by Erma Bombeck is one of my favorites. “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me.”
Spike Milligan was a brilliant comic. He was also a manic depressive, with a sense of humour that either grew on you or threw you. When he died the inscription on his grave stone read:
"I told you I was ill!"
Somebody must have told him he was imagining things when he told them of a heart compaint. He died of a heart attack.
"We have tomorrow
Bright before us
Like a flame."
-It's not really a quote but it is a part from the poem Youth, by Langston Hughes
"No one can define who you are" ..basically meaning that limits only exist if one let's them exist. Others can tell you what you can and can not do, but only you give them the power to manifest.
"leave no stone unturned" not sure where it came from, but I find myself repeating it often!
