Was the Canadia band Rush music ever sampled by hip hop artist?
* “Tom Sawyer”
Mellow Man Ace’s “Welcome to My Groove”
Ultramagnetic MCs’s “Crush Kill Destroy”
YBT’s “Time to Make the Dough”
* “The Spirit of the Radio”
Saint Etienne’s “Conchita Martinez”
Mix Master Mike from Sacramento, CA (Beastie Boys DJ) sampled Tom Sawyer on a mix tape that is rare to find today. However I think just the Tom Sawyer part of the mix is available on Limewire. It was the best I had ever heard...it pains me know that I lost that tape years ago in the early 90's.
I just checked Youtube...search MixMasterMike@TimFestival-curitiba for a fast taste of what was on the tape. Maybe a more in-depth search on youtube might get you better results.
