What is your favorite singer or music group from the 50's and 60's?
From the 50's...I would have to go with "The Platters"....doing such greats as "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", "Habor Lights" and "Twilight Time". In the 60's, the choices are many but Roy Orbison is the one that continually holds my fascination with his great lyrics and musical arrangements...sounds great today! WB
50s - Buddy Holly/Crickets - Bill Haley and the Comets.
60s - Beatles, Rollng Stones, Bob Dylan, Donovan.
The Doors, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Carol King - so original isn't it...funny thing is I like totally different things now - Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, old singers like Peggy Lee...
