Am I not allowed to promote my own work on here?
I recently posted a vid on youtube with my own poetry and piano piece and tried to post the link on one of my questions to get some opinions. So far, nothing. Does Hubpages look down on that sort of thing?
Why not? Just find ways to attract more people to your page, such as linking it to other sites and stuff.
Write a hub on the video and add youtube capsule to your hub.
You have to be careful to avoid the "self promotion" rule. I've run into problems with that even though my intentions were quite honest... i.e. not self promotion at all.
But I do wave my own flag a lot. Who else will?

Yesterday I read a thread that pointed out an HP term pertaining to self promotion. At a quick read over it seemed to suggest that self promotion is banned here. Does this mean social media too or what does it exactly mean...? I read the page the link went to and didn't fully...

When answering questions in Hubpages, are we allowed to post links to Youtube videos. For that matter, it is correct to include links to other web pages or relevant hubs.
