Was I slapped down? Tried to post and a picture of a strange woman appeared wearing a badge and riding some sort of motorized vehicle saying I wasn't allowed to post.
Whatever it was, it wasn't your offer to hug Pcunix that did you in. That post is still there.
That was a sincere offer, this GOPer is sensitive to the needs of others.
The use of the words "idiot" and "moron" I think are the top two terms that get people in trouble around here. If you didn't use either of those, you won't be the first person left wondering why.
24 hours is a very gentle tap. Some guy got 4 months; I can only imagine what he said to get that. Not to mention those permanent bans I've heard about.
Nope, didn't use idiot or moron, I try and obey the rules. I am scratching my head but really don't care too much.
I got banned once for giving a compliment.. I didn't phrase it well, it was interpreted as an insult and poof! I was gone..
Oh, and I think that's a Segway she is riding.,
So I was banned from posting for 24 hours, I sent an email and asked why? I was told I was banned for self promotion. I sent another email and asked to be directed to my supposed self promotion, this is what I received back.
Actually, this ban was an error on our part, and we apologize for the confusion. I see that the ban is lifted now, so welcome back to the forums!
Has this ever happened to anyone else? Are hubpages staff members posting in the forums as sock-puppets and when they don't like what you say they ban you? I'm just wondering not accusing. By the way, it took 4 days for them to answer.
That is weird.
No, I don't think any staff is doing any sock puppetry. I doubt they have time. It is almost certainly what they said - a silly error.
Like I said I'm not accusing, I can accept what happened.

Yesterday I read a thread that pointed out an HP term pertaining to self promotion. At a quick read over it seemed to suggest that self promotion is banned here. Does this mean social media too or what does it exactly mean...? I read the page the link went to and didn't fully...

How many hub views do you have for the last 24 hours?
by T4an 12 years ago
I haven't had hardly any views in the past 24 hours. I am hoping to get advice on how to fix this.Only 26 people have looked at my hubs in the last 24 hours. I used to get hundreds of views a day. What am I doing wrong?

Well two warnings in less than 24 hours on Hubs that have been around for over 3 years each. Suddenly they are bad. Traffic still really low and so is the money. Don't worry HP....I got this.Time to move 'em elsewhere.....
