    Maximum Overdrive (also Stephen King) - Comet going by Earth causes all electronic devices to go on a killing spree. Based on the short story "Trucks"

    The Car (1977) From IMDb: A sleek, possessed car terrorizes everyone it comes in contact with.

    Nightmares (1983) From IMDb: A collection of short stories: In the third, a smalltown priest loses his faith and decides to leave town but, in the desert, is stalked by a mysterious black pickup truck.

    "Christine" received mention, as did "Maximum Overdrive" and, I suppose, "Trucks", all from Stephen King.

    Honorable mention vehicles: Burnt Offerings (1976) ~ a hearse; The Hearse (1980); Black Cadillac (2003); The Wraith (1986) ~ sleek, black, seemingly indestructible car.
