In these few years, the cyber bullying has been recognized as  a serious threat  and the media has also given importance to it.  We should teach our children about the do's and don'ts  of  cyber bullying,  make them understand the safety rules from  online bullying by the people for their wrong  gains and we should  also have an access to the accounts of our children  to counter it.  In case of occurrence of cyber bullying, we should keep a record of that text  to take  help of police  at  right time. Parents should also seek help from the school administration  where the children are studying.

nothing can be done without taking away everyones freedom. the only thing that a person being bullied can do is to just ignore the bully, though this is a lot easier said then done.

Work on your child or teen's self-esteem.  Know that's easier said than done, but if people can consider the source when they are being bullied online then they can deal with it alot better.

I might answer the question with a question, why do our young people need to spend so much time on the computer?  Go outside and hang out with the 3 dimensional people.  We spend way too much time online and if we are intimidated by someone online--what does that say about how we handle ourselves in life with a real threat.

I think we need to shut the machines off after 30 minutes and find something else to do.

Could anything be more cowardly than cyberbullying?

3 things....ban, block, ignore.  Hard to do sometimes.  It's a natural instinct to lash back.  But remember, that's what the bully wants.  They want a response.  If they don't get a response after a while they get bored and quit.

Nothing some people need to be bullied. Atleast it is safer online ; by safer i mean your kids not gonna get beat up on twitter. And If people want to kill themselves over something someone said on facebook, I hate to say this but they would find something in the world to kill themselves over anyway it is just as pathetic as the bullies and I don't care. A Bully is just a cry for help by fueling this what can we do to stop bullying nonsense all you are doing is reinforcing a negative action by giving the desired results.
