How do you find a PR agency to represent a new Singer?
Many Music PR agencies are very image conscious and don't always show an interest in new talent without a proven track record. How would you find an agency that is willing to represent and promote a new singer? (perhaps the questions should have been, how do you best pitch a new singer to a PR agency?)
Advertise on newspaper, internet. You should be able to find few. Make a profile website about the singer. Good luck.
It may depend on the type of promotion you need, and it will definitely depend on your budget. As you know, a PR agency will want money. Do you want the person placed in the media (interviews with industry writers, etc.) or promotion for various gigs? Are you wanting a new image? All this things take time and money to execute.
If this is a new artist, consider looking for a hungry PR person just starting out. You can sometimes get PR students or even an entire class to take on a project (if there's a local university) for part of their graduation requirements. I think some PR majors would live to have that in their portfolio. Maybe you can have a win-win situation.
Thanks guys - this is for someone who is quite literally just starting out so I really like the idea of getting a PR student to get involved. I will send on all your tips to my friend!

What questions should you be asking if you want to be a foster home for a pet?Assuming that folks would like to foster a pet, but have never done so, what questions do they need to ask of themselves and of the shelter or rescue that provides the pet before they make the commitment?
