How can one get in touch with a celebrity in order to write about them?
How can a writer get in touch with a celebrity in order to obtain rights or otherwise permission to write about them? Shouldn't legal and legitimate routes of asking questions or obtaining honest (not gossip) information of and from celebrities be more easily available? What do celebrities themselves think of this issue?
go to Who Represents (whorepresents.com) and find the celebrities' agent. Write a letter to the agent and ask if they would submit your manuscript or whatever to the actor. (You'll have to pay a subscription fee, but can do it on a monthly basis, I think). I did this with a short story I had. I wrote to Marlee Matlin's agent and he sent it onward to another person who CALLED ME ON THE PHONE and was interested! The project fell through, but it had potential. If it's something that gets to the heart of what this celebrity may want to do or is something intriguing you may get a reply. Best of luck. If you want to interview my daughter, an actress and stand-up comedian, I'm sure she'd positive press. Just email me.

Why are celebrities so "Important"?How do you think it came to be, that the life of a celebrity has become so much more selectively observed, and seemingly important, than the life of the common citizen?
