Meryl was amazing in She-Devil with Roseanne Barr. That's my favorite movie of Meryl's. My least favorite movie is Bridges Over Madison County, I loved the book...not the movie. I'm looking forward to Hope Springs with Tommy Lee Jones.
    Good questions Ish!

I have not seen She-Devil and I will see it after your favorable reply. I saw Bridges of Madison County and it is not excellent nor not bad! Thank you for your engaging reply

I would say my favorites of her would be Julia & Julia, Death Becomes Her, Kramer vs Kramer and Silkwood....with Silkwood being my overall favorite....I have actually done a hub ranking all of her movies.

Death Becomes Her was a hoot!!  A "tip of the hat" to Meryl is in "Fight Club" where a woman dying of cancer is said to "look like Meryl Streep's skeleton."  You know you're a star when you're mentioned in another movie.

I was completely surprised by Mamma Mia.  It was way better than I expected and Meryl Streep was amazing (as always).  Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi ishwaryaa22, I'd have to say "She Devil" is my all time favorite Streep movie.  It's a comedy with her and Rosanne Barr - million laughs

'Bridges of Madison County' with Clint Eastwood, who happens to be one of my favorite actors. I love the romance in the movie.

Oh, what a compelling question!  That's like asking which type of chocolate I like best.  She is probably my favorite actress (although I have a few others), and she is amazing.  Her scope and range are incredible - you want drama? Meryl is one of the queens.  You want hilarious comedy by a 'real person,' she's it.

For pure entertainment, I loved Mama Mia (it's just such a fun musical), but her work in Sophie's Choice and even the Devil Wears Prada was amazing.  What a joy to have her talent during our time on Earth.

I loved her in Julie and Julia, where she played Julia Child.

I agree with petenail. The woman is the genius of acting. She can do anything and have a normal married life as well! Hope her daughters know how lucky they are.

Sophie's Choice was the first movie I saw in English and watched it over and over, it was my first English lesson with this amazing actress. Enjoyed the 'Iron Lady' a lot as well:)
