What do you think of the way that WWE handled the reality of Jerry "The King" Lawler's heart attack?
There is always some sort of scripted rivalry going on between members of the WWE staff. Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole have had a rivalry for years, they are always at each others throats. The newest rivalry is between C.M. Punk and Jerry Lawler over "respect" for the WWE champion. We all now that WWE is scripted, but they did an impressive job informing viewers that the collapse of Jerry Lawler was not part of the show and that he was indeed in serious condition. Michael Cole's solemn behavior around the incident was real. I wonder how C.M. Punk feels about his new scripted role now.
I think the WWE handled the situation well. Michael Cole noted on air a couple of times that the situation with Jerry Lawler was "not part of the entertainment". The fact that they had no announcing or commentating the rest of the show was smart, too.

People either love them or hate them. But it is a fact -- they are an enormously famous and successful brand. Do you secretly watch The Kardashians? If yes, why? If not, why not?
