What? That is a strange assertion. Love literally makes life go on. Love for our children, husbands, family, life. Love gives us power and makes us want to be better people. Love can pull us back from the brink. So yes, i believe in love but do not agree with your assertion that love is the slowest form of suicide.
Depends on how you categorize your love. Love may be platonic, self-sacrificing, self-destructive or sometimes addictive. If you let your love drive all your thoughts and decide to run blind after it, to some extent it may turn out to be a poison slowly eating your soul out. It is very true that without love we may find our life a meaningless journey through an abyss. But the complication arises when you want to grab hold of your love and put it into your pocket as a possession which is why addiction for love starts taking control of your entire life. So it's up to you: taking love a part of your life or supplanting love for life.

Do we have the right to end our own lives?Please do not read into the question that I have any intention of doing so. Look at it as broadly or narrowly as you wish. Consider if the person is seriously ill or just depressed. Do our lived belong to us and we can choose to end them or is our deaths...
