    How do you feel about a new Star Wars Trilogy?

    With the news that George Lucas has sold his Star Wars franchise to Disney, it now seems we will be getting another batch of movies in the continuing saga. This has created some expected buzz around the Internet. What do you think about a “Star Wars 7” (and 8 and 9)?

    As a lifelong Star Wars fan...I'm rather disgusted. I thought he butchered the prequel trilogy, and I hate what he did when he went back in and "enhanced" the originals.

    Do I mind off-shoots of Star Wars? No. But I hate to think they might be remaking what was already perfect.

      I would agree, the originals will always be the best if simply because they came first. He tried way too hard with the prequel. Maybe we will get lucky and some new talent will emerge and give us a new trilogy that is good.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with...but part of me also fears this. Disney did John Carter (blah) and Pirates of the Carribean (the first was awesome).

    I don't really understand the point of it.  The story is told.  I know there is more that is considered canon which took place after the Battle of Endor, but the story of Star Wars ends with the death of Darth Vader. 

    I can only see this serving to further tarnish the legacy of three of the greatest movies ever made. 

    This can only get worse.

      Your thinking is right on but remember that Hollywood will milk a concept until there is nothing left to gain (profit). Look at all the sequels and remakes out there. Even mediocre movies that have made some money get a second look.
