Adding music to a video for online publishing. Can do?
I wanted to put instrumental music with my video to publish online, but evidently it is not allowed due to copyright issues. Is there really a legal way to add 'a song' to my video and then publish it? (I mean for free, not obtaining a license or paying fees.)
Thanks, Sapper, for confirming my suspicions. But now how do all those people who put videos/music up on YouTube do it legally? Do they pay for use of the music?
I don't want to sing for my video; no one would listen past two notes!
They aren't very good at keeping up with it, but YouTube will eventually disable the sound. They are pretty quick about doing it if you have ads turned on though.
Thanks again, Sapper. I used some of my own bird video sounds on a recent hub. Still wanted music, but that's the way it goes. Appreciate your taking time to give me answer!

I just read a post by Marisa and she said traditional publishing houses wont touch anything which was previously published online. Okay, I get that. I can deal with that - except...does this count if it's incomplete? I'm working on writing one of my hubs into a full-length book -...

I heard some rumours lately that adding a YT video will increase you SERP, because Google crawlers searches of all types of media related to the topic on the website. Do you think is true?Anyone heard about it?

Online publishing, even though copyrighted, does it interfere with selling the item later?Does copyrighting your material and publishing on HubPages make it more difficult to sell the finished work?
