Is this new? What a stupid restriction. I think I might be done writing new hubs now.
We have detected that this Hub may be about watching TV on your PC. Consequently, we will not permit any affiliate links in this Hub. Furthermore, this Hub must be approved by a moderator prior to publication. Hubs written on this topic must also be informative and of exceptional quality.
wow ... i had no idea . your right that IS a stupid restriction..
Not really stupid. It only shows that Hubpages is doing something to fight against spammers. They are only keen about topics that are often flooded with meaningless content by people who simply want banklinks to their site from Hubpages.
So they single out a certain topic like netflix or Hulu?
I really don't know about those topics but I'm sure about weight loss and 'how to stop smoking' articles as I had an experience with them. They unpublished my hubs with these topics claiming that they have unrelated products/links.
I had a similar incident. I got a notice that one of my hubs was apparently about PayDay Loans and that was not allowed or whatever.
The hub was not about payday loans, did not even mention payday loans etc. So I dropped a note to admin and it was cleared up. I guess their "bots" that search out things like that get stuck on a key word to two then send up red flags. i would drop a line to the admin.
Well mine is about the best movies to watch, but its a helpful hub because I hate turning on the netflix and not knowing what to watch.mits funny though, that its fine to write about TV like HBO, FOX, abc etc. Makes me feel like they are being paid.
i haven't encounter this problem yet but it sure is a stupid restriction. I would have skip the hub and think of another new one.
I think there's an option where you can send an appeal that your hub is of good quality. They'll personally check it and your hub will be cleared if they think it's good enough. I experienced the same problem when I published hubs on how to stop smoking and weight loss tips. Good luck!
I have written a couple of hubs about streaming TV from the internet and have not had any problems with them. Like others have said, appeal to admin.
Just to confirm, I am more concerned with the singling out of certain topics. It seems a little strange that they would single out netflix, hulu and crackle as a "concern". Why not HBO, CNN, Fox? I have noticed a rapid increase in biased behavior from hubpages and I guess my concern is that they are "acting in the interest" of certain groups, and against others, with or without "consideration".
It's new, but it's not that hokey. I guess that Google algorithms (Penguin, Panda, etc) in recent years might have played a role in this. But don't give up writing new Hubs yet. There are other subjects besides streaming TV on the Web that you can write about. How-to Hubs that don't pertain to TV are great examples!
95% of my traffic comes from my "best to watch on streaming" articles. I enjoy writing them even without the income.
I think this has nothing to do with Google since only Hubpage can warn you about your hub's topic.
Don't feel singled out. I keep getting tagged for "mature content." Silly me, I thought this meant porn. Apparently the definition has broadened to anatomical and or medically correct terminology in educational articles and anything that might offend the mysterious someone out there. I had an article on ancient suicide cults taken completely down a couple days ago. Apparently that's yet another topic we're no longer allowed to discuss (which helps everyone involved I am sure... Kinda like not teaching teenagers about contraception will automatically lead to their abstinence. SIGH.) I am not one to complain to the moderators. I feel its a waste of my time and I don't like to whine. That being said don't give up. Find another topic and hub until your fingers bleed. They'll have to accept something!

I already had one post about low traffic. Here is another one. It just keeps going down. I was excited at first about being on Hubpages, but that has changed. Traffic was going up, and I was enthused about writing again. From my high point on hub traffic, which was on September 7, my traffic has...
