What is your best "Song Terrorism" memory?

We've all had those songs that we don't even like but can't get out of our heads no matter how hard we try.  What is the one that sticks out most in your mind?

One song that got stuck in my head for days and drove me nuts was a song I heard on my daughter's Ace of Base cd years ago.  Happy Nation. Very repetitive and not that pleasant.

Ace of Base!  Famous for turning the same beat into three hit songs.  A fine choice.

I don't even remember who sang the song, but that "don't worry, be happy" song was the worse. I hated that song, but it always got stuck in my head when I heard it.

That is widely considered the "terrorist" song of the 1980s.  It just wouldn't go away.

I absolutely HATE Nicki Minaj, but my sister-in-law loves her song "Starships" and plays it all the time!  It gets stuck in my head, even though I can't stand it!!

That is definitely one that would qualify.  They play it everywhere on the radio right along with Call Me, Maybe.  Another excellent choice.

There's no one song.  But then, being a songwriter, a tune that's stuck in my head one day may be replaced by a different (and equally stuck) melody the next.

That's usually how it goes.  It continues to make you want to rip out your radio.

I think at the moment is it Nelly, with 'Hey there Porsche'. I hate, hate, HATE it!!! But it is on every radio station I tune into, so I can't seem to escape it... Another one is The Wanted, with 'Walks like Rihanna'. Most unimaginative (and insulting!) song in the world...

Not surprising those are two artists I don't care for.  I still don't understand the love affair with Nelly and I think The Wanted are a one hit wonder being pushed as something more.

The Wanted are really popular over here in the UK, and their songs released here over the last 2 years have been fairly decent. Apparently 'Walks Like Rihanna' was made for the US market, not many of their fans here like it at all.

      Weird how that works.

MMMMBop by Hanson - Can't stand that song, but it always sticks in my head and now that I have answered this question, it will probably be stuck in my head all day.  Oh well.

Vicious cycle.  Definitely ranks up there with that all-time out-of-my-head songs.  A fine choice.
