What kind of music or sound soothes or relaxes you?
calming waters, chirping birds?
Some of Chopin's nocturnes, some bird song - blackbirds sing beautifully - and smooth violin music.
(At the other end of the spectrum a bit of Led Zeppelin or heavy rock does the trick!!)
Piano soothes and refreshes. My grandmother used to play at random times and you could hear the notes from every room in the house. Also, Lindsey Stirling music is good for relaxing and inspiring me.
I like ballads of most any genre. I have an entire playlist for when I want to relax or just hear slow songs.
Hawaiian music makes me very happy. I purchased a download of some Hawaiian group whose name I can't pronounce that sings in the language. I can't understand a word, but it cheers me up and calms me. To sleep, I use the ocean setting on a little "sleep machine" my husband bought me to put under my pillow. There are several other options (heart beat, babbling brook, and something else) but it's the sound of the waves crashing up against the shore and back out again, that I'm in love with.
