tough call, there's been a LOT of crap this year...

5.) Watchmen - it wasn't everything it was expected to be but I actually preferred the ending to that of the comic
4.) Outlander - fun, inventive take on an alien idea
3.) Angels and Demons - head and shoulders better than DaVinci Code in story, writing, casting, acting...pretty much in every aspect a much more enjoyable film
2.) Star Trek - hands down the most visually stunning film i've ever seen and i don't usually get blown away by that kind of stuff because it usually means less substance
1.) District 9 - a triumph of computer generated effects...

Honorable Mentions: Drag me to Hell, I love You Man, Funny People
Important Exclusions due to SUCKINESS: Transformers, Wolverine, 2012, Knowing, Terminator
Exclusions due to not seen yet: Up, Public Enemies, GI Joe, Inglourious Bastards, 9, Zombieland, The Hangover

    5. Up
    4. New York I Love You
    3. 500 Days of Summer
    2. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince/Star Trek
    1. The Hangover

A lot of the movies ya'll have on your lists either were Eh, just ok... or I didn't like em' at all. GI Joe was bad, I hope Channing Tatum doesn't screw up Dear John. And I couldn't concentrate in The Ugly Truth because I kept watching Gerard Butler talk outta the side of his mouth. This year was crap for movies.

But I still haven't seen Adam, Pirate Radio, or The Princess and the Frog smile

Well not so much lol But there was not really all that many movies that really I liked. 2012 I know I hated, the knowing also hated. But GI Joe and Terminator where at least far more entertaining in my eyes to watch.

Yeah I was just trying to understand why. You are entitled to your opinion smile I heard 2012 and The Knowing sucked as well. They aren't in my category of movie anyway.

I have a very short list because most of the movies that came out this year that I plan on seeing haven't come from the library yet (I get most of my movies from the local library), or haven't come out on DVD yet.

Movies I plan on seeing: Night at the Museum 2, Julie & Julia, Bright Star, The Blind Side

Seriously, I get it, if someone likes a movie like 500 days of summer, I get it, I really do....but here's what I dont get...if someone says its like the best movie of 2009!!!! I mean, you like it fine...you can like any crap you like, but when you say its like the best movie of the entire year, I feel like just pulling my big ol' magnum from under my bed, and just shooting something...no friggin' kiddin'

I haven't seen all of the movies. Therefore I cannot say it was the "Best Movie of the Year", I am not the Academy of Motion Pictures. But of the movies I have seen, those are the Top 5 that I enjoyed. They are personal favorites.
