Yeah, lets keep the list going and get the number 1 record from HP for 2009. Make it short please, just the song and the artist. Simply put, which song is on mad rotation on your I pod

    Mine:

I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas

As overplayed and fangirl-mobbed as it is nowadays, I am going to have to pick The Silversun Pickups' 'Swoon' as my album of the year.

Er. And if we had to go for a song, 'Surrounded (Or Spiraling)'

To each his own, but you've just named my LEAST favorite record of the year.

My choice, as far as the track I've listened to the most, is a three way tie between Animal Collective's "Brothersport," Fever Ray's "Seven," and Bat for Lashes' "Pearl's Dream."  But I've recently discovered a batch of new albums, so this may change in the next month.

I would have to say that Lady Ga Ga is my favorite. I reviewed
her latest CD "The Fame Monster." at one of my hubs. I first heard of her back in June of 2009, and, I got a copy of the Fame CD. And, loved it from the start.

However, I think Adam Lambert is going to give everyone on the list a suprise. His debut CD "For Your Entertainment." Is one of the best music CD's I have heard in years.

This coming from a guy who also loves, KISS, Poison, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Cinderella, and Motley Crue. But, one can not live on heavy metal alone! I love variety.

Everything except Rap, and Marylin Manson. As Ja Ja Binx would say, that music stinks-a-wiff!

As for song of the year? Lady Ga Ga. Poker Face

"My Girls" by Animal Collective, "Two Weeks" by Grizzly Bear, "More Stars Than There are in Heaven" by Yo La Tengo, "French Navy" by Camera Obscura. I'm also partial to "Actor out of Work" by St. Vincent, but that one won't make most lists.
