There are many hubbers out there that write terrific hubs, and I have enjoyed every one that I have read.  Just to start, here's one by Manlypoetryman that states the point in a fun way:

Tony - it's far too overwhelming a task.  Sorry, no way I could pick.  That's like asking about a favorite book - whew!  It would depend on the mood I'm in when I answer and we just have far too many incredible writers here.

Well, Blondepoet and MistyHorizon have some of the best if not the best hubs!
Blondepoets are either funny or very soulful.  I have enjoyed them very much.
Misty is so hilarious with her hubs! I get a real kick out of them!

I think Nell Rose is a wonderful writer. Although there are scores of great writers here she wrote a hub that has always stuck in my mind. She never fails to make me laugh. This is a great hub. http://hubpages.com/hub/Gypsies-but-Not … nd-Thieves
