The benefit is altruistic I would image with a hope of seeking more by that contributor at Pixabay or perhaps elsewhere. The site says, "All pictures are released under Creative Commons CC0 into the public domain." Reward comes through altruism firstly and then there is opportunity.
That opportunity is that someone can 'Like' the image for Facebook or 'Share' it, so it gets further exposure thus the photographer too. Another option is to share coffee with the photographer using their 'Coffee' break link. That leads to a link for a donation through Paypal for any desired amount, although not a requirement.

Where you can get FREE royalty-free images on the net?I wonder where you get all the pictures for your hubpages. I know just sxc.hu. Are there any other sources as well?

Where can I find a decent source of royalty free images?I have been searching for images to insert in a book that I'm currently writing but cannot find anything. I know of photo bucket but not sure if that license will cover my needs.

I tried to get free images from some free photo sites. But they ask me to put source credit to site or to the profile of image owner.I can. But the problem is we can't link to outside domain for more than 2 times from our hub.My question is1. How to solve this problem?2. Where to get free images...
