Daisy Ridley was recently criticized by various articles over her "privilege" comments she made in an interview, where she dared to compare herself to John Boyega, her star wars costar. Here's a link to one of the articles talking about this information to know more

Assuming you read the article, I'm going to say this much if anyone here cares what i have to say about it. Now, I apologize in advance if what I'm about to say sounds extremely ignorant, and as a minority myself (being half chinese, part native american and part hispanic), I can honestly say this without being labeled a racist in anyways, so anyone who wishes to call me that after my comments can fuck off.
Anyways, my thoughts on this is that after reading her responses thoroughly, I honestly don't think she meant any harm behind what she said. If anything, I don't even think she said anything wrong. Yeah, you can probably argue that she might be a ignorant in the fact of not realizing her costar John Boyega may have had a harsher life than hers growing up considering both their backgrounds, but to me, I felt like she was basically saying she doesn't consider herself to be better than anyone else just because she grew up attending private schools and etc.
Now, maybe I'm being ignorant in saying that, but as a minority, i truly think there was no malice behind what i said, but what do i know? Please comment below if you wish to weigh in on what she said.
