Alex Kurtzman doesn't want Trump supporters to watch Picard

Alex Kurtzman is the current showrunner for both the infamous streaming shows on CBS All Access, which happen to be "Star Trek:  Discovery", and "Star Trek:  Picard."   He claims that Trump supporters are beyond saving and says he does NOT want any of them to watch either of those Star Trek shows he's working on.

Me personally, I haven't seen either show, and I was contemplating checking out both shows just to write hubs about them, but I don't think I will now.  While I'm not a Trump supporter myself, as I voted for Bernie Sanders in 2016, I do have family members that are Trump supporters, whom I care about.  Therefore, if this is going to be the attitude of Alex Kurtzman towards Trump supporters, then I refuse to watch any episodes of both Picard and Discovery.    For if those shows are too good for my father, who's been a long time Trekkie since before I was born, but if he's not good enough to watch either of those shows according to Alex Kurtzman, then I guess those shows are too good for me, as I ain't watching those shows at all, nor do I intend to give them a chance.  Fuck them.  I'll stick with "Next Generation", "Deep Space Nine", "Voyager", "Enterprise" and the original series thank you very much.   Anyways, what are your thoughts on this?

LOL. Who cares? I may watch it. I won't let a silly comment by what appears to be an idiot deter me. If it's entertaining I'll watch more.

If you want to work in Hollywood you almost have to make crazy statements against 'Trump voters' to keep your job. I won't hold it against him.

How long did you work in Hollywood, LTL?

LOL Randy. I'd find your question funny if I thought you were doing anything other than the obvious here.

You can certainly pretend the far left aren't just a bunch of mean spirited bullies but reality refutes you.

In what manner was the question "mean spirited," Denise? I assumed you were speaking from experience, was I mistaken?

In all fairness to her, she may have a point.  If you follow anywhere near the amount of movie related news as I do, you'll know that it's not really uncommon these days for celebrities to bash Trump and his supporters on a regular basis, or really ANYONE who's not a liberal, and get away with it most of the time.  Case in point.  Look at Chris Evans, the guy who played Captain America in the Marvel movies for the past decade.

He literally said he would stop being friends with someone if he found out they were a Trump supporter.   Yet, nobody in the media ever crucified him for saying that, and he's Captain America on the big screen too.

Steven King claimed that people nominated for Oscar should get the nominations based on the quality of work they present, and not focus too much on tokenism, when the media whined about there not being enough diversity nominations this year at the Oscars.  Yet a few days after saying that, he was not only forced to apologize, but he also took back what he said saying how the Oscars need to focus on diversifying their nominations, and even later criticizing Trump recently saying he's a bigot because doctors and scientists working to find a vaccine for the coronavirus all happen to be white, as he feels Trump should've gone out of his way to hire a few more doctors of color to work on the vaccine as well, which is absurd when you think about it because I don't know...maybe we should get doctors that are qualified and are the best of the best to find the vaccine and not worry so much about their ethnic backgrounds so much?

Heck, Debra Messing, the actress from the popular sitcom "Will and Grace", where she played a girl who was best friends with a gay guy, has come out recently demanding all actors and people working in Hollywood that support Trump should not only be identified, but also be blackballed from Hollywood, yet the media didn't crucify her for that remark either.

Look, I'm not trying to say Trump is a saint because we both know he's not.   If anything, I'm with you that he can be a son of a bitch, but the point is Hollywood has shown to have a liberal bias for years if you look at all the evidence, and see which celebrities are crucified and which ones aren't.   It's pretty obvious man.

Gee Steve, I didn't realize there was a poll of all Hollywood star's political leanings. But then, there are a lot of smart folks in Hollywood, or otherwise they couldn't afford to live there.

There were no polls as far as I know, but everything I've told you is true, as you can easily look this up for yourself.

Randy if you don't see that the McCarthyistic tactics of the far left are bullying I doubt anyone is going to be able to give you evidence. You are obviously ignoring it already.

However, your statement here is quite telling. You think actors are smart, simply because they have a lot of money? That explains a lot.

I didn't say anything about actors, Denise. Do you assume everyone who lives in Hollywood is an actor? You still didn't answer how long you lived in Hollywood. Tennessee is a long way from the West coast, but am I to believe you would agree with their characterization of the people where you live?

                  Nope, Homey don't play that!

Lol. You ask questions not to gain perspective but to allow yourself to springboard into an unrealistic defense of your position. A position that is always anti anything. A position that does not seek discussion as much as it does derision. You do not seek solutions. You sell division.

Money is not, nor had it ever been, an indicator of intelligence. Not in and of itself. You made the statement. I realize your inability to defend it is typical of the outcome of many of your statements.

Wait doesn't that technically mean you think Trump is smart considering he was a billionaire before he became the president?

Have you seen his tax returns, Steve? No one else has to this point. Or are you taking him at his word?  Bad move if you are, because many people have regretted doing that already.

Fair enough but even if he did lie on his taxes, you got to admit it took some street smarts to pull that off as not even Al Capone himself was able to swindle the IRS.  lol    Let alone get away with it AND end up being elected president.  lol   All joking aside though, I honestly don't know if Trump lied or not on his tax returns, so I'm not even going to comment on it.  All I'm saying is while I don't necessarily like Trump, I do agree with him that there is a very big liberal bias in the media and Hollywood, as I have yet to see any conservative celebrities come out and endorse Trump which is baffling because even George W. Bush had people like Brittney Spears saying how we should just trust everything W said and did after the 9/11 aftermath.  Whereas nowadays, I can't seem to find one celebrity interview of someone endorsing Trump.  The closest  I ever found was Tom Brady wearing a "Make America Great Again" ball cap, when he was on the Patriots in 2016, but he hasn't worn it since, and from what I've heard, he's been distancing himself from Trump, which is very uncanny, as I've never seen this much hatred towards one President and his followers honestly.

Are you under the impression that Trump's 1040 has a line to indicate total net worth, even though your's doesn't?  I assure it does not.
