    Are you addicted to K-pop?
Because I remember I used to eagerly wait for every comeback very impatiently, but right now it is not so and I am loosing interest. So, to me, I never really felt addicted to k pop groups or soloist even if I love their content a lot.

I've come to find that the second you take away all the flashy videos and hypersexualized imagery, the "fans" no longer stick around to listen to the "artistry" of the music itself. K-Pop is a weird forced-meme that needs to stop, at least as far as calling it "good music" is concerned. I like PSY, though; he is cool.

I understand your perspective and agree with you too at some point, but k-pop is not what the media displays it to be, there really is good music out there of different genres, but some delusional fans just keep talking about the external beauty this is one of the reasons why I am reluctant in supporting k-pop groups in votings and fan activities, but instead support them by enjoying their music.
I hope you find your taste in any of the korean songs.

I won't, the majority of it is objectively not that good, forced into the spotlight by marketing agencies with poor taste, and I like Korean culture even less than American culture as it concerns racial relations. Perhaps when they catch up to the rest of western society as it concerns social equity I'll be able to morally support the funding of exclusive social regimes, but K-Pop is a black hole of degeneracy as far as most critics are concerned.

I hope K-Pop stays as it should be, niche meme-music. Now if you wanted to discuss Korean operatic music, theatrical music in general, then you'd have my attention. Asian countries produce some very beautiful operatic music, and I like that they usually do it in languages like German.

I don't wish for k-pop to be seen as niche meme-music, sir no one's hard work should ever be seen in that way. I agree with all your other points and it is your opinion and I respect it.
Hope you have a nice day.

If hard work amounts to being meme-music, then meme-music it is. It isn't an insult or degrading title, pop is by its own definition meme-music with nicer connotations to the title. The same beats, sounds, visuals, ideas used over and over again in a different way is by its own representation the literal definition of memes.

Perhaps your personal feelings about the word are clouding your judgement of what Pop music unarguably is.

Meme: an element of a culture or system of behavior passed from one individual to another by imitation or other nongenetic means.

Pop music: commercial popular music, in particular accessible, tuneful music of a kind popular since the 1950s and sometimes contrasted with rock, soul, or other forms of popular music.

It is unarguably, and rightfully called meme-music.
