Check out Flourish's article loaded with great songs about shaking. It is a very entertaining article that you will enjoy. I really like several of those good songs.

I hadn't thought about KC & The Sunshine band for years.
The Beatles ~ Twist and Shout automatically comes to mind.
Hang on Sloopy I'm familiar with since I'm an Ohio State Fan.

Luke Bryan, Elvis Presley, & Bob Seger are long time favorites.

    Interesting article.

The story about Flourish's daughter and the neighbor was a great way to start the article. As always, I enjoyed Flourish's interesting descriptions of the music. I'm always impressed that she never runs out of ideas for her music articles.

Flourish Anyway does her usual eclectic magic in pulling together the salubrious and the somewhat silly hot hits over the ages with the common theme of 'shaking'. She is truly Hubpages' anthologist of themed tunes. I plan to use this particular collection as a much-needed workout list. I will be jumping on my rebounder.

I was, however, somewhat disturbed on one account: my teen granddaughter is working at the Golden Arches where Flourish suggests there are potentially numerous salacious comments with the drive-through crowd's orders for chicken nuggets and happy meals. I will alert my son who can turn up a little early for pick-up and to have some fries, although I doubt that my daughter-in-law will appreciate the snack plan.

I also noticed that the all-time Canuck shake hit was left off the list.  In 1965 the Guess Who recorded "Shaking All Over", written by Randy Bachman who went from the Guess Who to Bachman Turner OverDrive (BTO for anyone old enough to remember them). Happy to say that he is pushing 80 (78), and still shakin' a leg,

All in all, a great review of shakiing hits!

I love the story of Flourish's daughter and the Chinese old man. Music and dance can always remove age and nationality barriers. The songs encourage movement. All of us have some shake-able part(s). Thanks, Flourish. Thanks Pam, for sharing.
