      I was really excited about American Idol and the new judges but sad to say that I am disappointed in the show this year so far. I did a hubpage on the upcoming season ten and really hoped that the show was going to do well even with Simon gone. Don't get me wrong I like Steven Tyler but the whole show seems too much about the judges this year and them having a good time. Hopefully by the time they get all the junky contestants out of the way the show will improve.

         I I'll check out your hub. I have to admit that them having fun was so funny to me that it made me like the show more. I bet they will calm it down some but the advice they give to the talent is so much. Ore real now i think. :-)

         That's the way it's always been from season two.  Once the judges were established and the world got in on their personalities, the show became as much about them as the contestants.  They're part of the entertainment.  That's why they're chosen.  Steven Tyler is a well-established artist with a good sense for talent.  He's down to earth, not too over the top, well respected in the industry, and sensitive to the feelings of new artists.  I think Randy needs to step up his game this year.  In the past he had begun to weaken in his assessments of the finalists.  They really didn't get good constructive feedback one way or the other except, "Dawg, you were the bomb" or "I don't know, it was just ok for me."

      setting aside all those Judges... I found it so funny by witnessing a japanese guy who sang "Party in the USA" for hating it...
      By the way, Steven Tyler is my all time idol for his music

      I like a rocker being one of the judges. I haven't watched the show every season, but I have watched both shows so far and he's one reason why. I think the judges very much are a part of the entertainment factor, just like Simon was, but having established artists themselves helps I think. So far they've selected some promising talent.
      
      I also like seeing JLO on the show, I think she's softened since becoming a parent.

      I predicted that the show would flop without Simon, but I think I was wrong!  I think Jennifer Lopez is great and Steven Tyler absolutely cracks me up - I think he will make the show in a very different but similar way that Simon did.

   I can't say that I love Steven on the AI show...I really want to but I think it's kind of flat.  In fact, I think I am more disappointed in Randy, I really thought he would step up and he isn't.  I am a 10 year fan of AI but thinking of letting it go....not sure yet. Great question though, love the other comments!

      Funny that I didn't really ever see himbonly heard hi music and I really had a ball listening to him talk. In hope they give him a chance Idol never stays the same throughout the season always surprises. And,whatever they are doing they are doing something right be because seem to get all the ages of an audiance

         Steven Tyler is kinda sexy and a little creepy at times.  He has bedroom eyes at some of the contestants, hard to break those groupie habits! 
         JLO is sweet and pretty and at first I thought she just couldn't say no
         
         At the end of the day its still American Idol and there's only so much you can do.

                        Great then... glad that you are not offended >. well what I meant is that ( I was born only 82) but I am fascinated to Rock, you should say Classic rock and rockers such as Steven Tyler, Skid Row, CCR, Rod Steward, and many more . They are really hot. They don't have to take off clothes to show their hotness. They lived out their music. Know what, they call me "old school"

            ha, funny right. Well, so long I can hear his funny comments as in all of them and listen to him sing during the show its cool and so long as my husband and I are laughing and someone gets picked in the end and it makes their dreams come true all is good and its worth watching the show. Quite honestly I do know that a billion kids are voting because half our kids program votes because they tell us so basically the kids will steel the show.
