Guests On The Oprah Winfrey Show

Updated on October 12, 2014

A Few of The Great Guests on Oprah

Oprah Winfrey's show has been around for years and just keeps getting better and better. Here on this page are a few of the guests that I enjoy who have appeared on the Oprah show.

Now, as much as I enjoy an Oprah interview, I'll admit that I don't watch television a lot and have missed many of Oprah's most popular guests and her best interviews. But that doesn't diminish my respect for her talent and enjoyment of her show when I do find time to watch.

Oprah's guest line-up has been particularly interesting as she prepares to air the LAST OPRAH WINFREY SHOW ever on May 25, 2011. I was lucky enough to catch the recent episode when Johnny Depp visited and yes, you can read more about his visit righ here on this page.

Who's your favorite guest from the Oprah show? Don't leave without visiting our guestbook at the bottom of the page and letting us know.

Marie Osmond Talks About Her Son's Death

Marie appeared as a guest on Oprah's show on November 11, 2010.

We all know Marie Osmond, entertainer. On "The Oprah Winfrey Show" November 11, 2010, Marie talked to Oprah about the suicide of her son Michael. On this show we learned more about Marie Osmond, mother.

Though the entire show was devoted to Michael, one segment showed Marie in her room at home with her quilts and crafts. Did you know that Marie is also a sewer, a quilter, and a designer? Perhaps you've seen her award-winning collectible dolls. She also has a book called Marie Osmond's Heartfelt Giving, which is shown here.

The Cast of The Sound of Music 45th Reunion

The Sound of Music cast appeared on Oprah's show on October 28, 2010.

On October 28, 2010, the cast of the most popular musical ever, The Sound of Music, reunited for the first time, 45 years after the movie's release, on the Oprah Winfrey show. The cast included, of course, Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer along with all seven of the actors who played the children of the von Trapp family in the movie.

What a fabulous show! There was an announcement, too, about the release of the 45th anniversary The Sound of Music Limited Edition Collector's Set on Blu-ray. If you missed Oprah's show, much of what was shown on that show is included in the special features of this Blu-ray set.

Jessica Seinfeld Discussed Double Delicious With Oprah - Jessica shares her recipes from Double Delicious on Oprah.

You might have guessed that Jessica Seinfeld is the wife of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. She's also a mom who enjoys feeding her family nutritious, but delicious, food.

October 26, 2010, Jessica appeared with Oprah and a handful of very flustered moms who needed help in the kitchen to showcase ideas, techniques, and recipes from her new book, Double Delicious: Good, Simple Food for Busy, Complicated Lives. These moms learned a few things - as did the audience - and Jessica shared quite a few great recipes. You'll find more information about those and about Jessica Seinfeld's cookbooks by following the next link.

Jackie Evancho's Appearance on Oprah

On her October 19, 2010 show, Oprah interviewed 10-year-old Jackie Evancho, the runner-up in the 2010 season of "America's Got Talent." Jackie sang, so Oprah's viewers who hadn't met Jackie before got to hear her amazing soprano voice for the first time.

Jackie Evancho's has a number of CDs available. Here I have chosen to share her 2014 album called Awakenings. Any of them would make a wonderful gift ideas for just about anyone.

Johnny Depp on The Oprah Winfrey Show

Johnny Depp visited Oprah on May 5, 2011 and gave the audience a unique gift.

Johnny Depp visited Oprah Winfrey's show on May 5, 2011. He toasted Oprah and presented the audience with a truly unique gift -- the opportunity that day to be at the world premiere of the brand-new Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides movie. Even better than that, however, might be the fact that Depp would be attending with the audience! Learn more about his visit to the Oprah show on this short video:

What is Oprah's Favorite Gadget?

Back in October 2008, Oprah announced that she LOVED her Amazon Kindle...

A couple of years ago, Oprah Winfrey announced on her show that her new favorite gadget was the Amazon Kindle. Well, we've all come a long way, baby, in the last couple of years. The Kindle is now in its third generation - and has a large screen big brother.

I'm sure Oprah has a lot of gadgets, but I'm glad she loved her Kindle back in 2008 and gave her viewers, including my friend Susan52, a coupon code with a lot of money off when they bought their own Kindle.

Out of all the celebrity guests that have been on Oprah's show through the years, I'd have to say I enjoyed watching Diana Ross the most. Oprah has stated publicly that while growing up her idol was Diana Ross. All three of the appearances of Diana Ross' on the Oprah show were just fantastic. It is obvious Oprah took special care in preparing these particular shows featuring her idol. I found it rather endearing to see Oprah in such awe each time she interviewed Diana. And the fact that she chose to have Diana as the featured guest on her very last show going out with a bang, well, that just says it all.

      Dear Susan,

This is a great lens-what a wonderful idea!

      Of course I'm not surprised.

That adorable little Jackie is so incredible. It's hard to believe someone so young could have such a fantastic voice.

      Thank you-- Thumbs up.

I rarely get a chance to watch Oprah but I would have loved any of these shows! Maybe I need to re-do my schedule!

Very nicely done, Susan. I have seen about three Oprah shows in my life. Two of which I watched recently to see the guests. I really have to say I enjoyed the J.K. Rowling interview, partly because I am so immersed in Harry Potter's world and partly because she really was a good interviewee. (Is that a word?) Her story is fascinating AND she is very well spoken and very intelligent.

I'll have to just say hello because I rarely, if ever, watch Oprah. I know she has some fascinating guests but seems like I'm always doing something else when she comes on. I bet the Sound of Music reunion was great!
