What Your Baby's Name Says: Those Children Likely To Grow Up Smart
For many parents-to-be, one of the challenges that confront them is how to find a desirable name of the coming baby. It cannot be denied that there is always too much fuzz when choosing the name of the baby. Some couples would even buy books on baby names. Many would look in the internet for inspiration. Some may have prepared names for their future baby even before they get married. Still others simply name their baby after their parents, relatives or people that they admire and respect. It is also common for parents-to-be to name the baby after their favorite celebrities.

But why would giving a name to a baby such a well-thought of thing. Of course, there are exemptions to the rule but we can say that majority gets picky when choosing what to name their baby. It is believed that whatever name is chosen, it will have an influence in the baby’s future. Some believe that the baby’s name will influence his intelligence, attitude and character. So the parents are careful when choosing a name. After all, he will carry it for the rest of his life. If the baby grows up and in some cases do not like his name, he has the option to change it. However, he will have to undergo the process required by law, which could be quite expensive and time-consuming.
Baby names are also changing as each generation of parents change. The most popular names in the last decade may not be as popular as they are today. Look at the names of the children of celebrities. Their names are quite unusual such as Suri, Shiloh, Max, Piper, Maru, Seven Sirius, Puma, Sailor Lee, Harper Seven, Kalel, Elijah Blue, etc. Gone are the days when the names Ashley, Elizabeth, Abby, Daniel, Andrew, Christopher, John, Mark, Alexander, Collin, and the like come to mind immediately.
As stated earlier, it is believed that the name of the baby exerts influence on his personality when he grows up. It is not only once that I read that children should be named in such a way that they will grow to be smart or intelligent, rich, and would always find luck. Strange but many people believe that names can make or break one’s destiny. If the name connotes a positive meaning, a good future lies ahead for that baby and if the name bears a negative meaning, then his fate is believed to be full of thorns, so to speak. However, this belief is being contradicted by majority since a name can never dictate what kind of a future the baby will have since it is just an intangible thing that he will use every day.
Out of curiosity and for the sake of those who are interested, I compiled the names of the top 3 students in our school in each grade level in the last five years. They are the babies who grew to be smart and we surely don’t know if their names really have an effect on their being smart children. It may be true or not but there’s no harm in reading or checking if your baby’s name fits the category of some names of children who would likely grow to be smart. I have also included the meaning of their names.
If you will notice, there are not that many names included here because approximately 98% of these children are at the top of their class since they started studying. The spelling of these names can also vary with the meanings found in my research.
Whether you believe that a baby’s name has an effect in the personality or future of that baby or not, it is dictated by your own judgment.
