Free Target Baby Bag Review

Whitney is a mom trying to evoke a healthy, happy life for herself and her family.

I had heard a lot of good things on a baby forum about the Target baby bag. Some people even went to multiple Targets in their areas to get a bag from each store. But, after reading about the awesome Target baby bag, I also learned that not all Targets still give away the baby bag. The contents of these bags also vary per store, but since I work about 2 minutes away from my local Target store, I gave it a shot.

Well, I was in luck. My Target store still offers the free baby bag. As soon as I got in my car, I took a peak because I just couldn't wait to wait until I got home.

Free Target Baby Bag Review

I wasn’t sure if my Target would still offer the bag, and if they did whether they would have one available, but I got lucky and snagged a bag from the Customer Service desk.

The baby bag comes in a small reusable bag. I probably won’t use the bag, but I may give it to my baby sisters to play with (aged 4-years and 18-months). The contents really did live up to the hype… Well, kind of.

I was hoping for an Avent bottle, like I’d seen many others get, but I received a Munchkin Latch bottle,. I don’t have a Munchkin bottle yet, so it works out even better because I wanted to try multiple different bottles to see which works best for my baby. The MAM pacifier is pretty nice, too.

The bag included a lot of samples. I’m happy to try The Honest Co. diapers. I’ve heard some people love them and others don’t. Two diapers isn’t a huger test batch, but they’re free, so I’m not complaining. I’m also pretty happy to try The Honest Co.’s wipes, but I wish that the sample pack included more. The Amazon box included a 32-count pack of wipes.

I was super happy to get the Babygenics laundry soap. Now, I can try two loads of laundry, since I also got one in my Amazon box. The coupon in the Target bag is for $2, which is nice.

There aren’t a lot of coupons in the bag, but I’m fine with that. I won’t be able to use the coupons that I did receive.

  • Many ladies will love the BOGO Starbucks coupon, but my Target doesn’t have a Starbucks inside, so I can’t use it.
  • I don’t plan on painting, so I won’t be using the Devine Color coupon, either. The paint coupon would be super nice for anyone planning to paint and decorate a nursery, but we aren’t.
  • I already have an ear thermometer. If the coupon was for a forehead thermometer, I’d jump on this coupon.

How to Get the Target Baby Bag

Technically, I think you’re supposed to start a baby registry, but my Target didn’t even ask. Just in case yours does, I would start a Target baby registry, either online or at the store. I did mine online.

If you start an online registry, you still have to go into the store to talk with someone at the Customer Service desk to ask for the bag.

But, that’s it. It’s pretty simple.

Just keep in mind that not all Target stores still offer the baby bag and not all may be in stock. I still suggest giving it a try if you like free stuff.

Cast your vote for Target Baby Bag

Overall, I’d give the Target Baby Bag 4 out of 5 stars. I’d estimate the value of my bag to be $15.71 plus coupons.

The bottle and pacifier make the bag worth it. If your local Target has a Starbucks, then that may be the cherry on top for you to make it a 5 of 5 stars. The more things that I can use, the better rating. Since this is a free bag, two things are definitely better than no things.

I really did like that the bag wasn’t stuffed with useless coupons. I know what does come in the bag will be helpful or enjoyed by many women.
