Double Pushchairs

Updated on October 14, 2009

With double pushchairs, you are putting yourself in a position to really be efficient while taking the kids for a walk. You can stroll them on through downtown or the neighborhood and they will rather enjoy it, getting to “chat” and observe while they sit next to each other. For your part, you’ll be killing two birds with one stone. And if you want your other half to accompany you then this is still the better way to go because one of you can push while the other walks freely. At certain points you will just naturally switch back and forth between the two of you. It makes for a much more enjoyable walk when there is always the possibility of temporary and complete freedom from pushing the stroller, as opposed to having to clumsily manage two pushchairs and two crying babies and two maneuvering parents. That can quickly become a hassle. This is just the simpler way.

Maclaren Double Pushchair

Maclaren double pushchairs are pretty much at the top of the mountain. They stand above all the rest in terms of style, durability, and comfort. They are the high end of pushchairs no doubt. Maclaren is a British company that makes quite possibly the world’s best strollers. I suppose these are what Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow choose to push their kids around in, especially when in Europe. Of course, Maclaren operates in both Europe and the United States, so you can definitely find their wares in both places.

Jane Double Pushchair

Another fabulous maker of double pushchairs is Jane. That’s right: just plain Jane Pushchairs is one you have to look out for. Jane is another British company that knows what it’s doing with pushchairs. It’s got a veritable fleet of prams out there on display, and you can really have your pick and choose.

Jane PowerTwin Pro

Their Powertwin Pro is completely ready to accept two twins to go out for a spin, or two toddlers, however it is. It has two back wheels but only one front wheel which makes it appropriate for both city and country wear and tear. This is not a cheap double pushchair but it is a very durable piece of equipment, and it will allow you to take your babies literally almost wherever you want to go. You can show them the ocean, etc. These double pushchairs are very versatile and will enable you to extend your children into the world at an early age and in an easy way. They are light weight, durable, and ready to rock and roll! It is very enlightening to see what a good job the engineers have done on such a thing as a pushchair. Innovation truly knows no boundaries. It goes wherever it wants to go.

So that should give you a bit of the gist about the higher end double pushchairs that are out there on the market today. If you can afford them, and have a real use for them, then they are a great asset. If not, well that’s perfectly understandable. There is a whole range of doubles that you can look at underneath the Maclaren and Jane offerings. Even those companies may have something in the more affordable range. (If they are smart they would figure out a way to reach out to the multitude of us in a genuine way!)

The bottom line though remains that pushing your two kids around in a double pushchair buggy is quite ideal versus using two separate pushchairs. It streamlines the process. It keeps it simple. All of this contributes to a healthier and happier child (and parent). And that is really what it’s all about anyway!
