I find that when you dispense as much love or more love than you meat out discipline your children understand the lessons you try to teach and you not only have to discipline less often and less severely.  Sense some parents don't take care of their children and do not understand this concept it has become necessary for society to step in. Unfortunately whenever that happens there are excesses.  If the world were perfect there wouldn't be a need.

    Yes.
Many parents are overwhelmed and need support.  Often, they do not realize there are positive parenting techniques.  Offering support and gentle guidance, is different than finger pointing and criticism.

Disciplining should be done in a way so that the child does no t feel that his freedom is restricted. WE can explain about some of the things beforehand. For example if we take them out to our friend's house, we can prepare our child what to expect there and what is expected of him. Lot of patience from the parents required. A firm and consistent approach will be helpful.
