If you need the money to support the kids then spend it. If you don't, the best advice is, perhaps after an allowance or whatever, put it away and save it up for college. If you are talking about Social Security payments, keep track of how you spend it, they will eventually ask. They do not want you to save it or at least show that you are saving it, so get creative.

Have you noticed, your Social Security check is now referred to as a "federal benefit payment"? I'll be part of the one percent, to forward this, our government gets away with way too much in all areas of our lives, while they live lavishly on their grossly overpaid incomes! KEEP passing...
