    I believe there is a pain that reaches the depths of anything we've ever known.  This would have to one of those times.  I believe that only God can comfort when the pain is this numbing.  I don't think there are words for something this traumatic except, I'm here if you need me",  and "Let me know what you need me to do" This is a time to just show love and not rely on words - I don't think there are any.

    No, my son almost died last year at 10 days old, and there is nothing that 'you' can say- but, if the parents believe in God, share His words along with a deep, sincere hug.
