My baby has a tongue thrush n white milk on her tongue she is not getting better
my baby is two monthes doct has given her twice medicine nystatin for tongue thrush but she is not getting better
Is the baby being breastfed? In many cases, thrush can be passed back and forth from baby to mother and both must be medicated in order to get rid of it. It is also possible that it keeps being re-introduced from bottles or pacifiers that haven't been properly washed -- very hot soapy water should be fine, but it takes a lot more cleanings around the time the medication is given to make sure that nothing is reintroduced. Some babies are just prone to reinfection and there's not much else that can be done but try to control it.
