    I don't think that it can be said that it is important to be a stay at home wife and mom.  I think what is more important is that the woman make choices that make her happy.  Some women get fulfillment by being a stay at home wife and mom while others need the stimulation of a job outside the home so that they are complete as a wife and mom.  Woman should not judge other women for their choices, but rather support each other.  When a woman is truly happy it only benefits those around her.
