How to get 2 year toddler to sleep one hour earlier than usual?
My experience has always been to start the entire routine early. Dinner, bath the bedtime story - everything.
If you have a normal routine that you do each night before bed then you are basically "tricking" the body that it's bed time. And unless my kid was ramped up from too much sugar or too exciting of a day - it always worked.
A little bit at a time. An hour is a huge block of time for a toddler, so start with 15 or 20 minutes early for a few days, then increase it gradually.
