    Why do some babies stay bald for so long?

    My daughter is 14 months and is still mostly bald on top. My other two children had a full head of hair. What causes this?

    It's just genetics. Don't worry, she'll have hair in no time. My son doesn't have much hair, and what he does have is so blonde it doesn't look like he has any hair.

    Sometimes the babies who stay bald the longest end up having the most hair. I was still pretty much bald even after I was 2yrs old and now I have more hair than I know what to do with. The same is true for a couple of my cousins. I'm not sure what causes some babies to grow hair faster than others but it's totally normal.
