How do I make my son play more outside with friends?
My son likes to play more with computer games and game consoles. He likes it so much he would prefer it over playing with other kids. So how do I make him go outside and play with them instead of holding his ipad all the time or playing games on a pc?
For starters you can try enrolling your son to summer camps and other sports camps, where he can play the sport usually kids play. Once, he likes playing these sports he might slowly feel motivated to go outside and show off his skills
OH I did! He had swimming class before but he need to quit since he had surgery. He enjoyed that plus our longboard activity. However, when he's in the house, he would rather stay inside than play with kids in the neighborhood.
Don't worry my cousin who is 6 years old is also a mighty TV buff. So much so that he has big glasses already. My aunt now doesn't allow him to watch TV for more than an hour a day.Left with no option he has slowly started to go out and make friends
I would suggest two things. Firstly to lead by example by being active and promoting the beauty of an outdoor, healthy lifestyle and secondly I would set clear rules for Computer games. You could try to give your son set times to play on his computer and you can then provide him with alternatives for the rest of the day.
