What are some good tips to avoid rushing in the mornings?
Well, it depends upon if you are a morning person. When my children were young, I got as much done the night before as possible. Example: took out their clothes for next day, made sure backpacks were packed, and signed permission slips, etc. However, because I am a morning person, I normally begin my day a couple of hours before my children out of bed. Cooked breakfast, packed lunches and so on. I hate traffic so I would tried leaving for work before traffic is bad. It didn't always work out but that was the plan. Hope this helps!
Thanks! My plan is pretty much the same except being a morning person. Like you said, some times things just don't always work like you plan them (especially with kids). I need to set my leave time earlier because I never factor in traffic.
I also say do what you can the night before, and/or have a list of what you need so that you don't forget. I am NOT a morning person so this really helps me!!
Making a list is a good idea! I will try it and see if it helps :-) Thanks!
I hate being rushed in the morning when I can barely function. I always choose my clothing and have everything set out, clean underwear out on the dresser, so once I am out of the shower, I can just grab everything, eat and go.
I am so not a morning person. Before I had kids my morning routine was similar to yours.

Are you a morning person? Are you a night owl? How do you deal with mornings if you aren't a morning person? If I have to get up before 9 AM I do not want to hear anyone's voice for at least 30 minutes or I will bite their head off. I love being up late. It's dark and quiet and everybody else is...

Are you a morning person?I most definitely am not. If awoken "prematurely", as I like to put it, I am abnormally quiet, appear sulky, and irritable. I am just a totally different person! Anyone else similar? Completely the opposite?

What is your favorite part of the day?I am a huge morning person. I love waking up and feeling the bite of the morning and the freshness of the dew and seeing the sun rise. I love that first cup of tea in the morning. I love the stimulation my mind gets from the day light. But I also love a hot...
