What do you (or did you) play with YOUR baby?
We read stories, and play his noise toys on the floor. We let him play independently a lot too; he's just started crawling. I'm looking for games and activities appropriate for babies.
Do you have any stacking cups? Or bowls in your kitchen (that are plastic) that fit inside each other?
My son likes anything noisy. Plastic bottles, pots filled with pasta and rice. He also likes ripping up magazines!
Yes! My kids seem to always prefer kitchen utensils (wooden spoon is a favorite in our home) to the fancy store-bought toys.
when my baby was learning to crawl, I made my own soft toys for him to play, made flash cards and gave him lots of pillows to roll over.
I loved the time spent with my 3 daughters at every age and the time they were babies was awesome ! I played so many games with them - Stack up cups, cars, blowing bubbles, Reading books in a funny voice, Boo ! Every parent should experience the joy of spending time with their baby while they can !
As they get older play board or card games & teach them to swim/ride a bike ! Enjoy every age as it goes so so fast !
Oh yes; kids LOVE bubbles! I too really enjoy the time I get to spend with my baby and our preschooler!
My granddaughter just turned 9 mos and we (I) sing songs, I have taught her how to play patty-cake, we play this little piggy went to market with her little toes. She laughs when we sing I'm a little tea pot and I hold her up. She likes when I make the animal sound for Old McDonald Had a Farm. I think what is important is the time spent with the little ones no matter what toys you are playing.

My 6 month old is happy, healthy and wonderful, however, he refuses to let me be away from him for more than a few minutes, even when he's asleep. He cries could rival that of the strongest banshee's. I've been trying everything from getting him interesting toys to play with, books to look at,...

What is the best toy you've ever purchased for a child between the ages of 2 and 3?By best, I mean, the toy you bought that your child clearly enjoyed the most or got the most out of. It's always good to get toy recommendations from other people rather than guessing.

Any indestructible dog toys out there?I want to get a toy for my dog-nephew (the guy in the photo, who sleeps with his eyes open and his tongue out) for Christmas, but he chews through everything so fast that it seems a waste sometimes. He has a Kong, but he gets bored with it. I want to get him...

How can I get my older dog to play with toys again? My dog is in his tenth year. He used to spend a lot of time at home alone and now I am working from home and I'd like to interact with him more. He takes toys I buy him from me and put them in his bed not interested in a game of tug of...
