i have a handful of hubs with zero traffic more than a month. So, i edit the hub, made changes and publish, shared at sharemedias and these hubs are getting traffic now.

    Hi, Skyy,
I made a comment on one of your articles and you have not responded.
I explained in the comment that you should acknowledge my comment with a comment of your own.  Then, you should go to my hubs and write a
    comment in kind.
We respond to those who write comments and we seek out one of their hubs and write a comment.
It is a give and take kind of relationship with fellow hubbers.

    Hope this is helpful.

Hey DJ I'm sorry I'm all over the place right now and trying to this. I would never intentionally ignore anyone. What happens is I'm at work I see emails and say I'll respond at lunchtime but that doesnt work or I plain forget.

Anita......First of all, you have only been with HP a little over a month.  That is hardly enough time for you to be well-known.  Furthermore, it is up to you to take the initiative to become visible on our mutual writing site here.
Obviously, if any of your hubs have made it to google and they are such that they are searched often, your traffic will grow in time.
If you are referring to views & comments amongst fellow-hubbers, this also take a little time, as well as your involvement in reading & commenting on numerous hubs a day......This is how you choose whom you may want to follow, as well.
There are several schools of thought on "traffic," earnings, etc.  Many hubbers, especially those who have been here in excess of 4 years, who make a decent sum of money, get their traffic where it matters the most (outside of HP)  These are the writers who write page one google articles, know how to circulate (pimp) their work and are fortunate enough to sell amazon and/or ebay products displayed on their hubs.
If, as you mention, a hub seems to simply STOP getting traffic for a length of time, you can always go in to edit.  Add a capsule perhaps and up your word count, check over carefully for spelling & grammar, add a poll, photo or video.  There are any number of ways to spruce up a hub.
    Good luck!
