    Why people so easily ignore each other when some disagreement comes along?

    When one person has labeled their side good, rational, educated, it is easy to dismiss the other side as evil, ignorant, crazy, stupid - and thus not to be listened to.
    Liberals took that "love, peace, tolerant, rational, smart, educated, moral" branding to an extreme, which allowed them to physically assault conservatives in the name of morality and regularly jump straight to namecalling when conservatives tried to discuss issues. And then they were surprised that the people they browbeat into public silence voted for the only blowhard willing to speak truth to power - them.
    When people cannot air their grievances, when people cannot speak to give their side and work things out, the ONLY solution is violence.
    We're lucky Trump won to balance things out or we'd have had full violence by the left on the political right as fascist movements are prone to do or violence by the right because they were denied any legitimacy much less solutions for the high unemployment, crime and other problems they have been trying to discuss.
