Maybe because many fathers are "push overs" for their daughters and want to spoil them as being their "princess". Where as the same father's are rough on their sons.
However in many instances mothers have a soft spot for their sons to balance things out.
Nevertheless it's not uncommon for daughters to gravitate towards their mothers once they have had more life experience being a woman themselves and especially when they too become mothers.
The father/daughter bond is strongest during childhood years.
Father's are not always rude to sons, it varies, but always closer to daughters
In all honesty rarely is there an "always" for anything.
Some fathers have sexually molested their daughters! You can never say "always" about most things in life.
Some fathers abandon their children altogether.
Nothing is written in stone.

My Pops taught me how to stand up for myself. How not to take crap from anyone, how to dream big, as well as to pursue those dreams with vigour and a fervent heart. Happy Father's Day, Dad!

This is always a bittersweet time for me ... I love my father but we are not close. Father's Day always reminds me of the distance between us.
