Why do kids say they are bored while they are doing something?
Shandra, if the individual is not fully engaged in the activity, but is "sleepwalking" through it, he or she can be bored.
For example, watching a movie can be boring to someone who is forced to watch it; meanwhile, it can be exciting to someone else who knows and loves the actors and their acting, and finds the plot interesting.
Kids nowadays have to be encouraged to invest their passion in new activities.
