Apple Coffee Cake recipe

Make this recipe in a tube or bundt pan. Makes about 12 to 15 servings.

Good for a party or holiday.


4 medium apples
1 cup oil
1 1/2 cup + 4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 eggs
3 cups flour
3 teaspoons vanilla
3 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 stick butter
4 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Peel and core apples and thinly slice them.

Combine apples,4 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.

Sift together flour,baking powder and rest of sugar.

Combine flour mix with oil, juice, eggs and vanilla, beat for 5 minutes.

Pour 1/2 the batter in large tube pan, add apple mix and cover with remaining batter.


Combine all ingredients, spread over batter.

Bake for 1 hour.
