In the Kitchen

Being in the kitchen excites me as much as getting a spa treatment i count it as a luxury where i can zone out and relax. Let my mind drift and come up with alternative ways to just enjoy the experience of baking, cooking and of course eating.

I have always been partial to baking. It served as a time to hang out in the kitchen with my mom especially since i was better at baking than she was it was an ego boost. She would always solicit my help with preparing something when she had guests. For a young teenage girl this gave notches of accomplishments on my confidence scale.

The recipe for the The Best ever peanut butter cookie brownie is one of my many experiments in the kitchen. My easiest, quickest and best recipes combined to bring about absolute perfection both for the child and adult alike.

What is better than a peanut butter cookie and a fudge chocolate brownie combined in one delectable bite. In my opinion nothing!

It's easy too!

What you will need for the brownie- ingredients:

Dry ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cup (half) brown sugar

1 3/4 (three-fourths) cup of cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate pieces

Wet ingredients

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

3/4 (three-fourths) cup melted butter

1/3 cup evaporated milk or milk

1/2 cup of fudge syrup

What you will need for peanut butter cookie:

1 egg beaten

1 cup of peanut butter

1 cup sugar

1.Preheat the oven at 350 F degrees. Lightly grease your pie plate and set aside.

2.For brownie Mix all dry ingredients in a medium to large bowl

3. Then beat all wet ingredients together in another medium bowl.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing well.

5. The batter will be thick, set aside.

For the peanut butter cookie batter:

Mix all ingredients together until combined well. A tsp of vanilla can be added.

Once cookie dough is complete, spoon half or all into the pie dish.

Press dough into the bottom of the pie pan to a 1/4 inch layer or thicker (depending on how much cookie you want).

Spread half or more, (depends on how thick you want the brownie) of the brownie mixture over the cookie layer, ( bake the other half in another pan).

Place the pie in the middle of the oven rack.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until set, stick a toothpick in the center, if it comes out clean remove brownie.

Remove, set aside until it is cool then cut into wedges.
