Cold Coffee with Ice cream

Updated on July 13, 2015
Cold coffee
Cold coffee

Summer time is here and we all are looking for different drinks for quenching our thirst. Cold coffee is one of my favorite drinks in the summers. It is very easy to make and hardly takes anytime. The ingredients are easily available and are usually in the kitchen in nearly every home. This is also favorite of children and they love to drink it. Since it is made from milk and has just little coffee so it is not bad for the health of the children nor it has many calories. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of coffee does make children demand more of it. Though most of calories come from milk and sugar, so if anyone has high Blood glucose levels then he can use artificial sweeteners in the coffee instead of sugar but in case of artificial sugars do take care to add that once coffee is made as it makes a lot of froth and can make coffee over flow the jar of the blender.

Cook Time

Prep time: 15 min
Ready in: 15 min
Yields: Serves 1

Ingredients needed

  1. 1. Milk: 2 Cups
  2. 2. Sugar : To taste
  3. 3. Vanilla Ice cream : 1 scoop
  4. 4. Instant coffee powder: 1 tsp or as per taste.
  5. 5. Crushed Ice.

Directions:

  1. In the dry grinding jar of mixer put sugar.
  2. Make it in to powder.
  3. Put the milk and sugar in the jar of blender.
  4. Blend them well.
  5. Add Coffee powder and Ice.
  6. Blend well till it is frothy.
  7. Now pour it in the tall glass.
  8. Now put a scoop of Vanilla Ice cream on the top.
  9. Serve Chilled.
  10. Garnish with grated coconut if desired.

Revisiting this lovely looking treat. I know I haven't studied all your delicious looking recipes yet, but this one called my name again because of the awful heat we always have in the summer. The temperature humidity index is another 7-8 degrees on top of the actual temperature, so today our actual temperature and THI combined is just over 100 F.

This looks so refreshing that I feel cooler just looking at it. Sharing it again with my followers and voting it up again and awesome. Pinning it to my 'Drinks' board.

Thanks Au Fait. Highly appreciated. I had all my 153 hubs published and for some reasons I did not log in to hub pages for about a year and half and thus most of them got Idled. Now i see most have also got a circle in front of them when before i left all had H.

Perfect for our God awful hot days here in Texas -- 95+ degrees and sometimes over 100. Looks delicious too!

Beyond this specific article, may I make a recommendation to you? I note that you have published 144 hubs, yet only 7 or so are visible and available here on your profile page to be read.

To correct that, go to your profile page. Click on "Edit Profile." Go to almost the bottom of that page where it says "Show only Featured Hubs on my profile:" Click on the 'NO' box and then all of your hubs will be visible again on your profile page.

I realize they have been idled, which is why they aren't showing, but that's no reason not to make them available for readers interested in them. After all your work of writing them, let people who wish to read them do so. The advertising remains on them, so benefit all you can from them even though they are not currently indexed by Google.

The main reason a hub gets idled is because of little or no traffic. Do everything you can to get your hubs traffic. Promote your hubs whenever you get the opportunity, but also make them available to people who visit your profile.

I visit people's profiles all the time looking for a hub that interests me. It's my way of saying thank you for taking time to read and comment on my hub. I realize that when someone comments, or especially if they share one of my hubs with their followers, that hub gets exposure and it may be just what is needed to bring it back to life and make it successful.

Easy and lovely, though I would probably use 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of leftover brewed coffee instead of instant coffee. Voted up and useful! :)

Thanks LK More but be sure to use full fat milk. That would give you even more tastier coffee. I hope you would like this recipe too when you make it.

Cold coffee wiith ice cream sounds like heaven. One of my work associates brought me a Starbucks Carmel Frappachino as a treat. It has been ages since I had one and it made me deliciously happy. Can't wait to try the recipe! Thank you Indian Chef.

Your cold coffee icy drink with the milk and ice cream sounds delicious. It would also be easy enough to adjust for people who are diabetic or have to watch their sugar intake. Gave it 5 stars, up votes and sharing. Your recipe is just in time for the approaching summer!
