Cook time: 20 min
Ready in: 50 min

Note:

Including marinating period, preparation time may be longer but meat is definitely tastier.~

Looks like a great recipe. I have tried similar in a straight smoker at 200 degrees for 2 hours using Apple Wood

Will have to try this one... great to see you back at the keyboard girl...

What an unusual twist to the standard marinade. Sounds quite tasty and easy to make. I like to use the bone in chicken as well. It does tend to make the end result a lot more moist. Thanks for sharing this delicious barbecue recipe.

I never used coke for marinade. I guess the acid in the drink is pretty aggressive and it is suitable for really fast preparations. Have to try this once... Thanks for the intriguing idea!

When I first made it, my hubby was teasing me, said what an invention and ketchup should be for dipping on the side and not for marinating. And then, he fell in love with the smell while I was grilling it, much more after tasting it. :)

Let me know how you like it when you try it. :)

      Cheers!

Hello Sunshine! Ahmm, not sure about diet coke but no harm in trying. BTW, I just had this quickie today for lunch again (with mash potato salad) and will never get tired of it. Back to marinating, I remember mom using 7-up and that's a good one too. :)

Well, thanks for gracing my kitchen today. Lovely to see you.

Well, lovely to see to you here down my galley. Thank you. I hope you feel better now.

Yum and yum yum. While I do not drink beer anymore. I would make two batches. One with the coke and one with a bitter ale. What am I saying (would) I am going to this Friday night. I will get the mesquite charcoal tomorrow. Thanks I can fix it when I get home and by the dinner time it will be just right and easy.

Thanks ---- and I am going to serve it just like your picture at the top - perfect.
