Updated on December 15, 2012

Magic Recipe for Home Repairs? ;)

Warm up with a dessert that borrows flavor from a favorite spice drink mixed with a beloved american traditional dish. Eve tempted Adam with an apple, but you don't have to know someone in a biblical way to be a catalyst. Make this tart for the apple of your eye and there just might be a chemical reaction. That's one way to finally get the repairs finished around the house...you little minx, you!

Gather Your Ingredients!

Prep Time:

Total Time:

35 minutes

This Is How We Do It!

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix In bowl:

1 apple: sliced (with skins for color/flower petal effect)

1 tablespoon truvia or agave syrup

1 tablespoon chai tea spice mix or blend chai tea/spices in coffee grinder or blender.

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

Tip: Make your own Chai Spice Mix: 1/2 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground cloves, 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1/4 tsp nutmeg,

1/4 tsp ground black darjeeling tea

Layer The Tart

Start at the bottom outside edge of the pie crust in the crease.

Work your way into the center keeping the skin side of the slices upwards for a rose petal effect.

*Spray pie crust edge with olive/canola oil or no calorie non-stick spray to keep from burning.

*Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes
